24-hour tonkotsu bowl is consistent across visits. Not the deepest broth in SD but it's a solid late-night option when everywhere else is closed. Karaage side is the right appetizer.
Multi-location San Diego chain with late hours and a full bar. The signature Tajima Ramen uses a 24-hour tonkotsu broth with thick chashu. Strong izakaya sides menu (karaage, takoyaki, gyoza) makes it a one-stop group meal.

Chain-consistent but nothing wowed me. Broth tasted thinner than I remembered from a year ago. Egg was perfectly cooked though. Fine for a group pick, not a destination.

Thick-cut chashu is the highlight here. The izakaya sides (gyoza, takoyaki, karaage) make it a one-stop meal for groups with mixed cravings. Late hours seal the deal.
